How a Custom Home Build Works
A custom home lets you decide the layout, the finishes and how the house handles the desert heat, instead of taking what a tract builder offers. If you do not have plans yet, our design-build process puts design and construction under one contract.
- Plans and estimate: we review the lot and the drawings and price the job line by line.
- Permits: we submit the plans and handle corrections from the building department.
- Foundation and framing: site prep, slab, walls and roof.
- Rough-ins: plumbing, electrical and HVAC, each inspected before the walls close up.
- Insulation and drywall: this is where good insulation and windows pay off on summer power bills.
- Finishes: cabinets, counters, flooring, tile, fixtures and paint.
- Final inspection and walkthrough: we go through the house with you and fix anything on the punch list.
