Repair or Replace Your Water Heater?

It is usually time to replace when:
- The tank itself is leaking or there is rust at the base. A leaking tank cannot be fixed.
- The unit is over about 10 years old. Tank water heaters commonly last around 8 to 12 years, and hard Las Vegas water tends to push that toward the low end.
- It rumbles or pops, which usually means heavy mineral scale in the tank.
- You run out of hot water faster than you used to.
A newer tank or a tankless unit can heat water faster and use less energy. If you smell gas near a gas water heater, leave the house and call the gas company before calling us.
